The World’s only St. Paddy’s Pickle Parade and Palooza returns to Mansfield for 2019! See what everyone is talking about as the Pickle Capital of Texas goes all out to celebrate its 8^th Annual event. Admission is free and this event is produced by an all-volunteer non-profit Pickled Mansfield Society. The theme of the 8^th annual event is Moon Rocks! to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the moon landing.

The Stars of the Show!

The Stars of the Show are, without a doubt, the Pickle Queens. You can’t miss them, in their bright red wigs, green thrift-store prom gowns and their blingy tiaras. These ladies and their Pickle Posse spend the year making plans to bring the World’s Only St. Paddy’s Pickle Parade and Palooza to the community. They’re the first to come and the last to leave the party! Watch for them on the parade floats!

Friday, March 15, 2019

• 5pm          Pet Parade on Main Street, Cornhole Tournament at Smith and Oak Streets
• 6pm          World’s Only St. Paddy’s Beer Keg Race on Main Street
• 7pm          Free Concert by the King David Band on the Main Stage

Saturday, March 16, 2019

• 8am          Pickle Runs begin with 10K, followed by 5K and Kids K, 500 E. Dallas St. Mansfield
• 9am          Free Concert by Run 4 Cover band on the Main Stage
• 10am        Opening of Vendor market, food court, children’s Pickle Playground, Community Stage
• 11am        Baby Parade on Main Street
• 1pm          Pickle Parade on Main Street
• 2:30pm     Phineus Reb on the Main Stage
• 4:30pm     Pickle eating and pickle juice drinking contests and pie eating contests on Main Street
• 5:30pm     Free concert by Lauren Corzine on the Main Stage

What makes the Pickle parade special?

This event is growing by leaps and bounds! The inaugural parade in 2011 drew 5,000 spectators along Main Street, grew to 10,000 in 2014, and in 2019 organizers expect 35,000 to 45,000 visitors throughout the course of the two-day event. Various booths and activities support local charities.

History of the event

Mansfield was named the pickle capital by the Texas Legislature in 2013, paying homage to Mansfield’s homegrown pickle and condiment maker, Best Maid Products, which opened in 1926 and now churns out 50 million pickles a year in Mansfield.

Construction on South Main Street means the St. Paddy’s Pickle Parade will take a new route this year. Visit pickleparade.org to see the revised route and pick your spot to watch the parade!
